Welcome to Duval County, part of Florida's First Coast.  Duval County is home to many herps including some truly spectacular animals such as eastern diamondback rattlesnakes, eastern indigo snakes, and pine snakes.  Some of the more common species, like corn snakes, skinks, and aquatic turtles are seen very frequently.  Please use this site as a guide to identify many of our local herps.  Please feel free to contact the
webmaster to provide input of any type.
