Earth Day 2006

Several JHS members showed up for this awesome event at the Jacksonville Landing on April 22!  Hundreds of spectators flooded our area, with many of the smaller children staying for most of the day.  A few of the highlights were Jason Hoffman giving a presentation on the local venomous snakes and Bob & Liz Shumaker (L&B Reptiles) giving a presentation on reptiles in general.  They took their "Big" guy, appropriately named "Julius Squeezer" on the main stage with the Radio Disney MC and Ms. Berg, a local news weather person.  Enjoy this sampling of the many photos that were taken during the day.
