Field Trip to Reptile Discovery Center

March 22,  2009

Our field trip was to the Reptile Discovery Center in Deland, Florida. There were 26 members that attended. What a place, inside and out. We were met by Carl the owner and his assistant Denise. We were given a behind the scenes tour and saw the milking demonstrations. The milking table is literally 2 feet away behind glass of course.  The Reptile Discovery Center houses one of the largest collections of venomous snakes in the country.  The Center, a working snake farm is home to Medtoxin venom laboratories.
