Short description of life history.
I bought my first snake, a Columbia boa, six years ago at a reptile show.  After that I was hooked.  I’ve since acquired dozens of snakes and lizards and two years ago my mother and I started our own reptile breeding business, KnK Reptiles.  We have also done several educational presentations in our community to help teach students about these wonderful animals.  Eventually I plan to get a veterinary degree, specializing in herpetology.

Primary herp interests.  You name it, I’m interested in it.  I currently have several varieties of cornsnakes, boas, pythons, kingsnakes, and my new favorite – Western Hognose.  I also have a tortoise named Berks, a rescued iguana named Don, several leopard geckos, and a blue-tongue skink named Smithers.

Why did you join the JHS and what do you want to get out of your membership?  In order to learn as much as I can about the different reptile species, and network with different owners and breeders, I’ve joined several herpetology groups across the country.  My grandparents live in Venice, Florida and told me about your group.

What has been your favorite JHS experience? Unfortunately I haven’t been able to attend any of the meetings in person due to my location, however I enjoy the monthly newsletters and am very happy to see so much information on your new website.
