What do you do for a living?  Geriatric health care

How long have you had Herps?  Off and on since childhood.  Some things were purchased from pet shops, other stuff I drug home, much to my mother’s displeasure.

What got you started keeping Herps in your home?  They have always fascinated me.

What have been your favorite reptiles to keep?  Lizards

If you could have any Herp you would want, what would it be?  Don’t we always want more?

What famous Herp person would you like to meet?   I’ve met some famous people in the herp circles.

If you could go herping anywhere, where would you go?  Back to Texas

What is your most memorable moment spent with Herps? When I was 7, I had a colony of common brown toads.  They lived in the basement window “enclosure” at my grandparents’ house, and had babies.  The momma one I had named Maude, it was my grandmother’s middle name.  So I would stand in the yard and call for the toad to come home.  My grandmother didn’t much like her middle name but was secretly proud because she knew I loved that name.  The toad family free-ranged but always returned to their home, even in the spring after the snow melted.  This went on for a couple years till Daddy came back from Korea, then we moved to his next stateside assignment.

What has been the favorite show that you have done?  Tampa is always good, and it’s big too.

Do you have other pets?  Cats

Do you have time to do anything else?  I’m your current newsletter editor.  I enjoy freelance writing and have some articles published on a gecko website, and also working on a deal with a non-reptile website for publication.  Other things include making jewelry and growing orchids.
