To Whom It May Concern:
Regulation changes effecting
captive wildlife possessors were made to Florida Statutes (F.S.) and the
Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.) during 2007. A synopsis of these
changes may be viewed at
www.myfwc.com/permits,
by clicking on “Read More Information” at the end of the first
paragraph.
In 2007, Senate Bill 2766
was introduced and passed. This bill led to statutory changes concerning
venomous reptiles, certain species now deemed reptiles of concern and
the exhibition of Class I wildlife. Enhanced penalties for captive
wildlife violations were also included.
Below are the changes and a
link to the web site where these statutes may be viewed in their
entirety.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife
Conservation Commission also passed several rules effecting captive
